Great Show about the Earth!

Has anyone been watching the National Geographic shows that are currently playing on Nat Geo channel? There are two series and they are both amazing. One is called “Earth: The Biography” and the other one is called “How the Earth Changed History”. Each series has five shows with different earth topics.

For “Earth: The Biography” the show titles are: Volcanoes, Atmosphere, Ice, Rare Planet, and Oceans.

For “How the Earth Changed History”, the shows are called: The Gift of Fire, The Skies Above, Beneath the Crust, Water World, The Human Era.

My friend Marcus told us about them. He was so excited by everything he had learned about how the earth was formed. So, my daughter Jamie and I watched a one-hour segment together and our jaws were on the ground the entire time. The host, Dr. Iain Stewart, is enthusiastic, knowledgeable and very daring. He goes to extreme parts of the world and galaxy (really!) to show us the science. It is all in layman’s terms so it is understandable by non-scientific people like me and older children as well. Plus the photography and graphics are fantastic.

Between the host’s passion, the very interesting subject matter and the beautiful settings, the show is a real winner. I HIGHLY recommend both series and they are great to watch with your children. Check out the site for show times and more information.
